This senior 4 has literally changed my life. Every single of of the girls deserves to be in this boat soo much, and every single girl is just incredible.
- Sasha (stroke) has been my friend since 4th grade, and even though she left for 1 year, she came back with that much more determination and drive. She pushes everyone to do their best, and gives us the hardest work outs, but just because she knows the harder you work, the stronger and better you get. She’s suuuch an incredible stroke and has come soo far. Five years ago, 8th grade, she was my stroke for the novice 8, and I was the coxswain. Since then, we are the only 2 seniors left, we have definitely came full circle to the Senior 4 stroke, and coxswain. Next year’s she’s rowing for URI, and I KNOW they’ll be lucky to have her <3
- Isabella (3) is SUCH an incredible rower. It’s true she doesn’t run, but she just puts that much more power into her erg pieces. Isabella rowed in the senior 8 category last year also, as a freshman!!! As coach love likes to put it, she is a “power house” and brings sooo much to the boat. With an erg time of 7:47, as a sophomore, she’s going to be the next Joanna. :)
- Karleigh (2)- I can’t even describe this girl. She is so bubbly, sarcastic, “mellow”, dramatic, funny, and beautiful. Karleigh is such a good rower also. I wasn’t too good friends with her until this year, and I can’t believe that we haven’t been! I’m so glad I met her, I’m so glad she’s a part of my boat, because she really does nothing wrong. She has awesome power, puts her all into it, and she has awesome technique. I never have to say her name in the boat, unless it’s to fix our point. I just love her. :)
- and Elizabeth (bow). Liz has DEFINITELY changed everyone’s life. There was so much drama going on, and to keep the peace, she offered her seat to someone, which is just extremely humbling. But there’s a reason we wanted to keep her. She has the right attitude. As a freshman, during pre-season, she was the only who came and did all of the 10 10ks. She WANTED to do well, and is just a great person, over all. Innocent, lovable, precious, charming… By the time she gets to her senior year, she could probably do anything she wanted to.
